Research indicates that school administrators have an influence on working conditions for teachers and on learning environments for students. With principals and assistant principals playing an essential role in school effectiveness, this report seeks to better understanding the current composition and distribution of South Carolina’s administrator workforce, identifying demographic trends and opportunities for targeted support.
